Parc du Mont-Royal covers the southern flank of the mountain, laid out by Frederick Law Olmsted and opened in 1876, a few streets from downtown.
Chemin Olmsted switchbacks up to the Kondiaronk lookout, in front of the 1932 chalet, where the view takes in downtown, the river and the Monteregian hills.
