Opened in 2016 on Beaudry Street in the heart of the Village, L'Euguélionne is Montreal's feminist and queer bookstore — the first of its kind to appear in Quebec since the closure of its 1970s-80s predecessors, whose legacy it proudly claims. Its name comes from Louky Bersianik's cult 1976 novel, a founding work of Quebec feminist literature.
